Heart variability training for better focus

I’ve just published two posts to help you reduce heart variability and get plenty of benefits with it (like better focus!).

It was not that good :)

The picture illustrating this post is not a real target. It is what happens when your electronic target resets its distance and no longer takes into account that you are shooting at five meters instead of 10. Now I know something I have to check every time I fire up the Inband target 🙂

Highlights and SCATT files in this post 🙂

Ready to improve your balance and proprioception?

Here’s a weekly programme with four workouts to get you started 🙂  Now with stick figures!

SCATT weirdness: 2x the usual speed

This last week has been a bit weird. Monday I woke up with bad balance and hitting a lot of corners at home. Tuesday was better. Wednesday I shot a great training. And then from Thursday I’ve had something weird happening: my speed in the last second has doubled! I don’t know if it is myself or the sensor, but I’m working on figuring it out.

Some good shots

Here are some screen captures of shot highlights in the SCATT files I sent you. Sorry I forgot to include them in the last message.

SCATT files of the week

Enjoy this shorter ration of better SCATT files than last week 🙂

Timer for cycles

I’ve started using this Android timer so that I don’t count while shooting (coach was not happy about me counting). It is free and it works fine. If you use one for Apple please share it in the comments. Too bad I cannot export it to make it easier for everyone, but at least with the screenshot it should be easier for all of you.5 sets = 15 holds/shotsThe 5 seconds added to each time of the cycle is for raising and getting into the aiming zone. Adapt as you feel is right for you and remember that it does not matter to end a couple seconds up or down.
